Bracketology: Duke, Virginia, Gonzaga, Kentucky are the projected 1 seeds

By ADAM ZAGORIA

Duke (East), Virginia (South), Gonzaga (West) and Kentucky (Midwest) are the projected 1 seeds in the NCAA Tournament, per ESPN’s Joe Lunardi.

Kentucky has won 14 of 15 games after Tuesday’s victory over Arkansas.

Michigan (East), Tennessee (South), North Carolina (West) and Michigan State (Midwest) are the 2s.

The ACC leads all conferences with nine teams, the SEC and Big 12 have eight apiece and the Big Ten seven. The Pac-12 has just two in Washington and Arizona State.

Lunardi has Seton Hall, Temple, Clemson and Utah State and his “Last 4 In” and Minnesota, St. Mary’s, Butler and Belmont as his “First 4 Out.”

Among New York/New Jersey/Connecticut teams in the field are Buffalo as a 6, Syracuse as an 8 seed, St. John’s as a 9, Seton Hall as a 12, Hofstra and Yale as 13s and Iona as a 16.
