R.J. Barrett notches fourth triple-double in Duke history

By ADAM ZAGORIA

Duke freshman R.J. Barrett notched just the fourth triple-double in program history on Saturday night.

The 6-foot-7 Canadian went for 23 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists as No. 2 Duke handled N.C. State, 94-78, at Cameron Indoor Stadium. Barrett had no turnovers in the game.

Barrett’s performance came in front of his high school coach, Kevin Boyle of Montverde, who has also coached top-3 NBA picks Kyrie Irving, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Ben Simmons, Joel Embiid and D’Angelo Russell.

Zion Williamson poured in 32 points and 6 rebounds in the win.

Williamson and Barrett are the projected 1-2 picks in the NBA Draft.
