By JACOB POLACHECK

Scottie Barnes, the 6-foot-8 small forward from University (FL) School, named Duke, Kansas, Kentucky, Miami, Oregon, Florida State, California, and Ohio State as his top eight schools on Wednesday, via Twitter.

Barnes has taken official visits to Oregon (Oct. 12) and Florida State (Nov. 16). He broke down his thoughts on Florida State prior to his official visit in November.

“I know that Florida State is a very big school,” Barnes told ZAGSBLOG. “This year they are ranked in the top 25. The school has some great history with sports.”

According to 247Sports, Barnes is ranked as the No. 3 overall player in the Class of 2020 and the No. 1 player from the state of Florida.
