Qudus Wahab to Georgetown

By JACOB POLACHECK

Qudus Wahab, the 6-foot-10 center from Flint Hill (VA) School, announced his commitment to Georgetown Wednesday, via Twitter. He chose the Hoyas over Pittsburgh, Syracuse, and UConn.

“I am pleased to announce that I will be continuing my academic and basketball career at Georgetown University,” said Wahab in a statement released via Twitter. “GO HOYAS.”

Wahab took his official visit to Georgetown on October 26. He also took official visits to UConn (Oct. 12), Virginia Tech (Oct. 13), Pittsburgh (Nov. 2), and Syracuse (Nov. 9).

Wahab joins Malcolm Wilson and Timothy Igohoefe as the third commit in the Hoyas’ 2019 class. He broke down his thoughts on Georgetown for ZAGSBLOG in November:

“Great school with great basketball history,” said Wahab. “I believe it can be a nice fit for me.”

According to 247Sports, Wahab is ranked as the No. 129 overall player in the Class of 2019 and the No. 7 player from the state of Virginia.
