USC point guard Kevin Porter Jr. says he’ll finish season with team despite suspension

By ADAM ZAGORIA

Suspended USC freshman point guard Kevin Porter Jr. said he’ll finish the season with the Trojans despite being suspended by coach Andy Enfield for an unspecified conduct issue.

“We’ll reevaluate his future with the program this week,” Enfield told the L.A. Times.

“It’s very disappointing. We need all our players to be healthy and available. The last thing you want to do as a head coach is suspend any of your players, but when there’s conduct issues, we have no choice.”

The 6-foot-6 Porter Jr. is averaging 10.7 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.7 assists for the Trojans (9-8). He is the projected No. 11 pick in the NBA Draft, per ESPN.com.

USC was already without small forward Jordan Usher, who was suspended Dec. 31 and then announced he was transferring to Georgia Tech.
