One day after putting up 55 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists in a game for John Marshall (MN) High School, Matthew Hurt began an official visit at North Carolina.
The 6-foot-9 Hurt was at the Gonzaga-North Carolina game Saturday night won by the Tar Heels, 103-90.
“I’m trying to get my official visits in for games,” Hurt recently told Rivals.com. “Like on a Saturday when I can come down and see the real atmosphere and environment for a game. I want to see how they prep a team before a game and stuff like that because I’ll consider a lot of that in my decision.

Hurt won a gold medal this past summer with the USA U18 team coached by Kansas coach Bill Self. That squad included UNC commit Armando Bacot, UNC freshman Coby White and UNC target Cole Anthony.
Hurt took an official to Kentucky last month and is slated to visit Duke Jan. 19.
Kansas, Indiana, Minnesota, Villanova and Memphis are also involved.
“I think it’s just relationships with the coaches,” he told Rivals. “How comfortable I am with them is big for me and my family. So I think as I get closer I’m going to really lock in and focus on that.”
