Scottie Barnes Talks Upcoming Florida State Visit

By JACOB POLACHECK

Scottie Barnes, the 6-foot-7 small forward from University (FL) School, spoke with ZAGSBLOG Thursday, as he prepares to take his second official visit to Florida State on Friday (Nov. 16).

“I know that Florida State is a very big school,” said Barnes. “This year they are ranked in the top 25. The school has some great history with sports.”

Barnes also spoke about what he is focusing on during his visits.

“I’m trying to see how they treat me and my father,” said Barnes. “I’m also trying to see how the school could benefit to me academically and set me up for my future. I’m trying to see the facilities and how they can develop me to get to where I need to be.”

Barnes took his first official visit to Oregon last month (Oct. 12). He will be joined 2020 five-star Jalen Green this weekend.

According to 247Sports, Barnes is ranked as the No. 4 overall player in the Class of 2020 and the No. 1 ranked small forward. He currently holds offers from schools such as Syracuse, Florida, Kansas, Kentucky, LSU, Miami, Maryland, and UCF, among others.
