Josh Green, the 6-foot-6 small forward from IMG (FL) Academy, announced his commitment to Arizona on Thursday, in a video released via Twitter. He will take his official visit to Arizona later this month (Oct. 11-13).
“This is probably the biggest decision I’ve ever made,” said Green in the video. “I want to look back on it and make sure I made the right choice. I choose to be a Wildcat.”
Green chose Arizona over his final six of North Carolina, Villanova, Kansas, USC, and UNLV. He took his first official visit to North Carolina last month (Sept. 21-23).
He broke down his thoughts on Arizona for ZAGSBLOG last month.
“Arizona’s always prioritized me for a while now,” said Green. “They were one of the earliest schools which offered me and they’ve continued to stay in contact with me so I would just fit into their system really well. I would be able to play a combo guard position, one and two, so just a great system for me to play in and a great conference.”
According to 247Sports, Green is ranked as the No. 10 and the No. 3 player from the state of Florida. He joins Nico Mannion and Christian Koloko as the third commit in Arizona’s 2019 class.
This past summer, Mannion and Green played together with West Coast Elite on the Under Armour Association.
Arizona will also host 2019 shooting guard Terry Armstrong for an official visit this weekend (Oct. 5).
