Tre Mann to Florida

By JACOB POLACHECK

Tre Mann, the 6-foot-3 point guard from Villages (FL) Charter School, announced his commitment to Florida on Tuesday, via Twitter. Mann took an official visit to Florida earlier this year (May 1).

“HOMETOWN HERO,” said Mann via Twitter. “I’m 100% committed to The University of Florida. GO GATORS!”

According to 247Sports, Mann is ranked as the No. 28 overall player in the Class of 2019 and the No. 6 player from the state of Florida. He is the first commit in the Gators’ 2019 class.

After originally cutting his list to three in May, Mann later reconsidered and reopened his recruitment the following month. His original final three was Florida, Kansas, and Tennessee. In addition to his Florida visit, Mann also took an official visit to Tennessee (Apr. 24) and had visits planned to North Carolina (Sept. 14) and Kansas (Sept. 21).
