Larry Brown coaching USA college All-Stars in Italy

By ADAM ZAGORIA

Larry Brown will coach a team of American college all-stars during a trip to Italy next month.

The only man ever to win both an NBA and NCAA title as a coach, Brown will coach the USA East Coast roster that includes Kansas’ Charlie Moore, South Carolina’s Justin Minaya and Purdue’s Aaron Wheeler.

Assistants on the team include Syracuse’s Adrian Autry, Western Connecticut’s Guy Rancourt and UNCG’s Tom Tankelewicz.

The team will practice at Columbia University in New York from July 30-Aug. 1 before departing for Venice. They will play games against Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and Vicenza Elect at the Pala Goldoni Vicenza Arena from Aug. 3-6 before returning to the U.S. Aug. 8.

The national games against Germany, Italy, and Netherlands will be live streamed.  The final game against Vicenza Select will not be broadcast.  More information, including itinerary, will be on GuyRancourt.com.

Brown, who hasn’t coached since resigning from SMU in 2016, also recently agreed to coach the Italian club Auxilium Torino.
