New Georgia coach Tom Crean on Thursday landed a pledge from Lithuanian guard Ignas Sargiunas, per ESPN’s Jonathan Givony.
He also considered Arizona State and SMU.
Ignas Sargiunas has committed to Georgia. The 6’5 Lithuanian combo guard is coming off a strong season in the NKL, helping Zalgiris 2 reach the finals. He emerged on the NCAA radar with a very strong performance against a loaded USA Basketball squad at the World Cup two years ago

The 6-foot-5 Sargiunas, 18, averaged 10.3 points for Zalgaris last season in the NKL, Lithuania’s minor league.
He joins three-star guard Tye Fagan, four-star forward Amanze Ngumezi and three-star forward JoJo Toppin in Georgia’s recruiting class.
