Romeo Langford sets decision date

By JACOB POLACHECK

Romeo Langford, the 6-foot-5 shooting guard from New Albany Senior (IN) High School, will announce his college decision on April 30, per 247Sports. Langford is done taking visits.

Langford, who is down to three schools, has taken official visits to Vanderbilt (Sept. 22), Indiana (Oct. 21), and Kansas (Oct. 27). He broke down his final three for ZAGSBLOG at the McDonald’s All-American Game in March:

Kansas: “With coach [BillSelf, the name just speaks for itself. He’s a legendary coach, Hall of Famer, and he’s had success with big guards. From Andrew Wiggins to Kelly Oubre, he just knows what to do with them to make them succeed.”

Vanderbilt: “Coach Bryce Drew has been in the NBA. He’s been in the league, so he knows what it takes and how the league works. He has everything based on his NBA experience to get his players ready, specifically based on what they do off the court and his drill work.

Indiana: “Coach [ArchieMiller is a great coach. He gets the best out of his kids. He proved that with the team this year. They weren’t the most talented team, but he got them ready and got them up for the big games. Also, coach Ed Schilling and the Indiana coaching staff really cares about individual development, with the success he’s had and the players he coached and developed at UCLA.”

On Tuesday, Kansas was among the schools linked to the FBI’s college basketball probe. The indictment says Adidas arranged for the parent of a Kansas player to be paid $90,000 and the parent of an N.C. State player $40,000 for their commitments to the schools.

According to 247Sports, Langford is ranked as the No. 5 overall player in the Class of 2018 and the No. 1 overall shooting guard.
