Bracketology: Virginia, Villanova, Xavier, Kansas remain projected No. 1s

Virginia, Villanova, Xavier and Kansas remain the projected No. 1 seeds in the NCAA Tournament, per ESPN’s Joe Lunardi.

The current alignment would give the Big East two of the four No. 1 seeds.

The current 2 seeds are Purdue, Duke, Michigan State and North Carolina.

The 3s are Auburn, Wichita State, Cincinnati and Tennessee.

The 4s are West Virginia, Ohio State, Texas Tech and Arizona.

Among other teams of note, Rhode Island and Kentucky are both 5 seeds, and Seton Hall is an 8.

The ACC has nine projected teams in the Big Dance, the SEC and Big 12 have eight apiece. The Big East has six,  the Big Ten four and the American and the Pac-12 three apiece.

The last four in are Louisville, USC, Baylor and Texas. The first four out are Syracuse UCLA, Nebraska and Mississippi State.
