2018 PF J’Raan Brooks decommits from St. John’s

By SEAN BOCK

J’Raan Brooks, the 6-foot-9, 225-pound power forward from Garfield (WA) High School, decommitted from St. John’s Thursday morning, a source confirmed to ZAGSBLOG.

Brooks committed to the Red Storm on Dec. 24 following his decommitment from USC earlier in the year.

Brooks also visited Cal after decommitting from USC. Brooks initially chose USC over Virginia, Stanford, Oklahoma, and Cal.

On the Adidas circuit, Brooks averaged 15.9 points and 7.1 rebounds per game in eight games, leading Dream Vision to a 5-3 record.

Brooks is ranked by 247Sports as the No. 87 player in the Class of 2018 and the No. 3 player from the state of Washington.

The St. John’s coaching staff is scheduled to visit 2018 McDonald All-American big man Jordan Brown today.
