EJ Montgomery Sets Kentucky Visit

By JACOB POLACHECK

E.J. Montgomery, the 6-foot-10 power forward from Wheeler (GA) High School, has scheduled an unofficial visit to Kentucky for February 24th, his father E.J. Montgomery Sr. tells 247Sports.

Kentucky’s John Calipari and assistant Kenny Payne watched and met with Montgomery on Wednesday.

Montgomery will start an unofficial visit to North Carolina on Monday (Feb. 12). Montgomery will attend UNC’s game against Notre Dame on Monday. Then he’ll trip to Duke on Wednesday (Feb. 14) for their game against Virginia Tech.

According to 247Sports, Montgomery is ranked as the No. 12 overall player in the Class of 2018 and the No. 1 player from the state of Georgia.

After reopening his recruitment from an early committment to Auburn in late September, Montgomery has been one of the most highly recruited prospects in 2018. In addition to Duke, UNC and Kentucky, he is also considering South Carolina, Wake Forest, Vanderbilt, Georgetown, USC, Georgia, Clemson and UCLA.
