Rutgers became the latest school to offer Joe Girard, the 6-foot-1 Class of 2019 combo guard from Glens Falls (N.Y.) High school.
“Coach [Steve] Pikiell and assistant Coach Jay Young were both there last night,” Girard said of the offer. “If my schedule works I’ll visit but I don’t know what I have going on yet.”
A two-sport star, Girard earlier this week surpassed Lance Stephenson to become New York State’s all-time leading scorer. He’s averaging 50 points per game and will now shoot for 3,000 career points in his career.
ICYMI: @JG3_____ broke the NYS scoring record earlier this week. Tomorrow, he’ll shoot to become the state’s first 3,000 point scorer.https://t.co/krC7Xwwi8M
