Carlton Bragg Jr., the redshirt sophomore forward from Arizona State, announced his transfer to New Mexico on Thursday, via Twitter.
“This has been a long journey and a life long learning experience,” said Bragg in a statement released via Twitter. “I’m ready to help New Mexico. I’m ready to get to work and help the Lobos. The style of play, the training, and the team atmosphere is exactly what I am looking for. I can’t wait to get there and get going.”
Bragg transferred to Arizona State from Kansas in May and would have had to sit out this season, per NCAA rules. Bragg left Arizona State in January before playing for the Sun Devils.
Bragg did not play in Kansas’ final game of the season in 2017, a loss to Oregon in the NCAA Tournament. He averaged 5.4 points and 4.1 rebounds in for Kansas in 2016-17.
