SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — Dana Altman appeared to have a smile on his face for most of his time at the Hoophall Classic this weekend.
And why not?
The Oregon coach sat courtside watching four of his Class of 2018 commits in one gym, three of whom made the All-Tournament Team in Bol Bol, Louis King and Will Richardson. Miles Norris also competed at the event. The four-man class is ranked as the No. 1 recruiting class in the nation per 247Sports.com.
“I think we’re going to be No. 1 in the country next year,” King told Masslive.com.
On Tuesday, the good news continued for the future Ducks as Bol and King were named to the McDonald’s All-American Game set for March 28 in Atlanta’s Philips Arena. King was one of a record three New Jersey players selected to the game.

On Sunday, the 6-foot-9 Norris started and went for 13 points, 9 rebounds and 2 blocks for Brewster (N.H.) Academy in their 101-57 defeat of Cushing Academy.
Also on Sunday, the 7-2 Bol went off for 31 points on 14-for-18 shooting, including six dunks, with 3 rebounds, 2 blocks and 1 assist in Findlay Prep’s 91-47 rout of Immaculate Conception (N.J.).

On Monday, the 6-8 King put on a highly impressive performance notching 32 points on 12-for-16 shooting, including 4-for-6 from three, with 9 rebounds, 5 assists and 7 turnovers in Hudson Catholic’s 71-58 defeat of Kentucky-bound point guard Immanuel Quickley John Carroll (MD).
“I actually saw [Bol] and was talking to him and Coach Altman, who was also there [Sunday] night and we were all speaking together,” King said. “We’re all ready for it.”
Finally, Richardson, the Oak Hill Academy (VA) guard, notched 18 points on 7-for-10 shooting, including 2-for-3 from three, with 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 7 turnovers in the 83-69 win over previously unbeaten University School (FL).
What’s all this mean for Oregon’s future?
“My goodness,” said longtime New York recruiting expert Tom Konchalski, “they have a point guard, they have a wing and they have a 7-2 kid. So that’s a great start. And Miles Norris is an athletic 6-9 four man.
“The Ducks just reload. They don’t rebuild, they just reload.”
