Creighton lands Australian forward Sam Froling

Sam Froling, the 6-foot-9 Class of 2018 power forward from the Australian Institute of Sports, has committed to Creighton.

The younger brother of Marquette sophomore center Harry Froling, Sam visited Wichita State, Creighton, Maryland and Arizona.

“I’ve decided on Creighton because it’s where my gut says,” Froling told247Sports.com. “I’ve always wanted to trust my gut and my gut feeling is to go there. I enjoyed the guys and coach [Greg] McDermott a lot. The fans were amazing there.”

He added: “I think I can bring an inside presence and can stretch the floor, which fits their style of play,” Froling said. “I can make an impact right away.”

Froling is Creighton’s third 2018 commit, joining point guard Marcus Zegarowski and small forward Christian Bishop.
