Courtney Ramey updates recruitment

Courtney Ramey, the 6-foot-3 point guard from St. Louis (MO) Webster Groves, updated his recruitment during his team’s appearance on ESPN2 Thursday night.

Webster Groves played James Wiseman and Memphis East without Ramey, who is out with a broken right wrist suffered last month.

“It’s going great, I get the cast off tomorrow so that’s a good sign,” he told ESPN. “Then I’m hoping to come back early January.”

Ramey, who recently decommitted from Louisville in the wake of the FBI investigation into bribery in college basketball, is coming off an official visit to Oklahoma State. He plans to visit Texas after Christmas and Villanova and UCLA in February.

“I have a couple more visits coming up, UCLA, Villanova, Texas,” he said, adding that Missouri, Louisville and Ohio State were also “in the picture.”

“I’m taking my time, being more patient,” he said. “I feel like I have an understanding how to attack the process.”

He said he’s looking for “the ability to play right away” and “the ability to get better in their program.”

He wants to continue to work on his strength and his outside shot.

According to 247Sports, Ramey is the No. 9 point guard in the 2018 class and the No. 1 player from the state of Missouri.
