Xavier Lands Dartmouth Graduate Transfer Evan Boudreaux

    By JACOB POLACHECK

Evan Boudreaux, the 6-foot-8 power forward from Dartmouth, announced his transfer to Xavier on Monday via Twitter. Boudreaux, a graduate transfer, will have two years of eligibility remaining and be eligible starting next season.

“I just felt really comfortable with the coaching staff and the way they play, and I think I fit into that really well,” Boudreaux told ZAGSBLOG on Monday. “A major factor was the program’s success. I want to play in the NCAA tournament and have the potential to advance deep into it.”

“Excited to announce I will be attending Xavier University next year,” Boudreaux said Monday via Twitter. “Appreciate everyone who had helped me throughout the process. Looking forward to the next chapter as a Musketeer!”

The news of Boudreaux’s transfer was first reported by ESPN’s Jeff Goodman. “[Boudreaux] averaged 17.5 points and 9.5 boards,” tweeted Goodman. “Also visited Purdue and Colorado.”
“The atmosphere was incredible, and I really trust the coaching staff and their ability to improve my game and make me a better player,” said Boudreaux. “Plus the opportunity to play on a team like Xavier and advance in the NCAA tournament was big.”

In addition to Boudreaux, Xavier will also bring in 2018 recruits Keonte Kennedy, Jake Walter, and Dontarius James.

“I felt really comfortable with coach [Chris] Mack and the coaching staff at Xavier, and I think the program and school were the best fit for me as an athlete,” Boudreaux told Evan Daniels of 247Sports on Monday.
