Ayo Dosunmu to Illinois

By SEAN BOCK

Ayo Dosunmu, the 6-foot-4 point guard from Morgan Park (IL), committed to Illinois on Thursday.

Dosunmu took a visit to Champaign this weekend, and choose the Illini over Wake Forest.

The biggest pledge of the Brad Underwood era, Dosunmu is the first commit for Illinois in the 2018 class. The Illini are also in contention for top-150 prospects Tim Finke and Talen Horton-Tucker, who played on the same AAU team as Dosunmu.

Playing with the Mac Irvin Fire on the EYBL Circuit this summer, Dosunmu averaged 23.2 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 3.1 assists in 15 games.

According to 247Sports, Donsunmu is the No. 27 player in the class of 2018 and the No. 1 player from the state of Illinois.
