Louisville puts Kenny Johnson, Jordan Fair on administrative leave

In the wake of last week’s FBI investigation into bribery in college basketball, Louisville has placed associate head men’s basketball coach Kenny Johnson and assistant men’s basketball coach Jordan Fair on paid administrative leave, effective immediately.

“We are in the process of executing our due diligence as it relates to an ongoing investigation and feel that this an appropriate step at this time,” said UofL Acting Director of Athletics Vince Tyra.  “Our university will continue to fully cooperate with federal authorities in their investigation.”

Head coach Rick Pitino was played on unpaid administrative leave last week and was “effectively fired,” according to his attorney.

David Padgett was then named interim head coach.
