New York Charity Game Raises Money for Hurricane Victims

Rudy​ ​King,​ ​Overtime,​ ​and​ ​Game​ ​7​ ​Marketing​ hosted the NYC Hoops for Hurricane Relief Game at the Gauchos Gym on Saturday.

Guests​ ​​donated​ ​$10​ ​at​ ​the door,​ ​to​ ​benefit​ ​the​ ​Caribbean​ ​Disaster​ ​Emergency​ ​Management​ ​Agency​ ​(CDEMA),​ ​Florida​ ​Disaster Fund​ ​and​ ​Hurricane​ ​Harvey​ ​Relief​ ​Fund.

So far the cause has raised more than $5,000. To donate, please go here.

“As​ ​a​ ​human-being,​ ​husband​ ​and​ ​father​ ​looking​ ​at​ ​what​ ​has​ ​happened​ ​in​ ​Florida,​ ​Texas​ ​and​ ​the​ ​Caribbean it​ ​is​ ​heart​ ​wrenching​ ​to​ ​see​ ​others​ ​in​ ​such​ ​dire​ ​need,” King said. “​I​ ​felt​ ​it​ ​was​ ​my​ ​obligation​ ​as​ ​a​ ​man​ ​to​ ​help​ ​as​ ​much as​ ​I​ ​could,​ ​also​ ​taking​ ​this​ ​opportunity​ ​to​ ​teach​ ​our​ ​youth​ ​and​ ​future​ ​leaders​ ​the​ ​importance​ ​of​ ​helping​ ​in​ ​a humanitarian​ ​capacity,​ ​leading​ ​by​ ​example.”
