Eagles to play New York, New Jersey on upcoming tour

The Eagles will play several dates in New York and New Jersey on their upcoming An Evening With The Eagles fall tour, industry sources told ZAGSBLOG.

The legendary band will play Madison Square Garden, Barclays Center and the Prudential Center, sources said, but no dates have yet been announced.

James Dolan, the owner of the Garden and the Knicks, is close friends with Eagles manager Irving Azoff and Dolan’s own group, JD & The Straight Shot, have previously opened several shows for the Eagles.

The Eagles has so far announced four dates for the fall:

• Oct. 17: Greensboro, N.C.

• Oct. 20: Atlanta

• Oct. 24: Louisville

• Oct. 27: Detroit

After Glenn Frey’s death in January 2016, the new-look Eagles added Deacon Frey, Glenn’s son, and veteran country musician Vince Gill, who fill Glenn’s role on songs like “Take it Easy,” “Peaceful Easy Feeling” and “Lyin’ Eyes.”

They joined the core Eagles lineup of Don Henley, Joe Walsh and Timothy B. Schmit for two well-received shows in July at Classic West (Los Angeles) and Classic East (New York). The band is also slated to play in Seattle Sept. 30.
