“To me, it was like no other,” Bazley told Scout. “A big part of the commitment was the coaches. I felt really comfortable around them and then felt really comfortable around me. Everything I’ve played for in basketball, I’ve been extremely cool with the coaches. Not only with basketball but as far as life.
“Syracuse is a great place. Coach [Jim] Boeheim is unbelievable. He’s a legend. They’re a great coaching staff and I trust their development that they’ll be able to get me to the next level.”
Bazley is Syracuse’s first commit in 2018. Assistant Allen Griffin gets the assist.
“That was important because hew as the one recruiting me,” Bazley said. “He’s cool. He’s really cool. When I went up on the visit, I just liked being around him. Coach Griffin was really important in my decision.”
