Brian Bowen, the 6-foot-7 small forward from La Lumiere (IN) School, announced his commitment to Louisville on Saturday.
The Courier-Journal reported Thursday that Bowen was enrolled at Louisville, where he visited for an unofficial visit on May 29.
Landing Bowen gives Louisville the No. 6 recruiting class in 2017 per 247Sports. He also took official visits to Arizona (Oct. 29), NC State (Oct. 31), Creighton (Nov. 11), Texas (Nov. 25), and Michigan State (Jan. 29).
Louisville’s class also includes point guard Darius Perry, small forward Jordan Nwora, power forward Lance Thomas and big man Malik Williams.
The addition of Bowen, a natural scorer who led La Lumiere to the Dick’s National High School championship, should help offset the loss of sophomore wing Donovan Mitchell, a projected lottery pick in the NBA Draft.
Bowen’s commitment leaves point guard Tremont Waters as the only uncommitted prospect left in 247Sports Top 100. Waters took an official visit to LSU earlier this week on May 31.
