Shortly after announcing their final four schools, Dedric and K.J. Lawson announced they will be transferring to Kansas, according to Keelon Lawson’s Twitter page.

Landing the Lawson brothers in Lawrence is another hit for head coach Bill Self. Just last season, Self landed former five-star guard Malik Newman, who will suit up for the 2017-18 season.
Both brothers will be forced to sit out next season due to NCAA transfer rules. However, once they regain eligibility the Lawsons should bring immediate contributions to the Jayhawks.
Dedric, who averaged 19.2 points, 9.9 rebounds, and 2.1 blocks per game, will have two years of eligibility remaining. His brother, K.J., will have three years of eligibility remaining after receiving a medical redshirt for an Achilles injury following the 2015-16 season. K.J. averaged 12.3 points and 8.1 rebounds per game last season for the Tigers.
Kansas is still recruiting Hutchinson (KS) College star Shakur Juiston and he is expected to visit soon, sources said.
