Kentucky-Bound Point Guard Quade Green OK After Concussion

Kentucky-bound point guard Quade Green is okay after suffering a concussion during practice on Thursday at the Nike Hoop Summit.

“Yes, hes OK,” Tamika Johnson, Green’s mother, told ZAGSBLOG. “NBA protocol won’t allow him to play. He passed all the tests.”

Green didn’t play in Friday’s game after taking an elbow to the head and jaw during practice and wore sunglasses on the Team USA bench.

Green is one of four Kentucky commits in the game, including Jarred Vanderbilt, Nick Richards and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.

Another Team USA point guard, Trevon Duval, suffered a sprained ankle early in the game and went to the bench.

Duval is mulling Arizona, Baylor, Duke, Kansas and Seton Hall and is expected to decide sometime within the next month or so.
