Kentucky freshmen De’Aaron Fox, Malik Monk and Bam Adebayo all plan to huddle with coach John Calipari and their families before making decisions about the NBA Draft.
Monk is projected as the No. 5 pick by DraftExpress.com, while Fox is at No. 6 and Adebayo at No. 30.
“We’re just trying to get over this loss right now, and we’ll talk about it later on in the week,” Monk said following the team’s 75-73 loss to North Carolina in the Elite Eight on Sunday, according to the Herald-Leader.
Fox added: “I’m not thinking about that right now.”

Sophomores Isaiah Briscoe and Isaac Humphries also have options about their futures. Briscoe, the former Roselle (N.J.) Catholic star, tested the NBA Draft waters last season before opting to come back.
“I have, obviously, options,” Humphries, an Australian, told the Herald-Leader. “Just purely because of my age, I had zero options (last year). But I haven’t thought or discussed anything yet. Now that we’re kind of done, I’m going to assess every option I have.”
Freshman Hamidou Diallo sat on the bench after enrolling in January, and said he expected to be back in the fall.
“As of right now, I’m coming back next year,” he told me in Indianapolis.
As usual, Kentucky will have a wave of McDonald’s All-Americans coming in: guard Quade Green, center Nick Richards, and forwards P.J. Washington and Jarred Vanderbilt. They also add Canadian guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who will play alongside Richards for the World Team in the Nike Hoop Summit on April 7.
The Wildcats remain in the mix for uncommitted big man Mohamed Bamba and wing Kevin Knox, both of whom will also play in Wednesday’s McDonald’s Game.
