Syracuse is back in the mix for Class of 2017 wing Jordan Tucker.
Syracuse head coach Jim Boeheim and assistant Gerry McNamara visited with the 6-foot-7 Tucker on Thursday at Marietta (GA) Wheeler, said Lou Tucker, the player’s father.
Tucker axed Indiana from his list after Tom Crean was fired and is now considering Syracuse, Villanova, Oregon and Georgia Tech.
Tucker is expected to take an official visit to Oregon after the NCAA Tournament.
Syracuse had been involved for Tucker when he was at Archbishop Stepinac (N.Y.) but then backed off. Now with the losses of Andrew White III, John Gillon and Tyler Lydon, Syracuse has jumped back in.
Tucker was initially planning to announce in February, but that obviously didn’t happen. When he commits, he will join fellow NY Rens Hamidou Diallo (Kentucky), Jordan Nwora (Louisville), Jose Alvarado (Georgia Tech), Jake Klores (Columbia) and Samson George (Iona).
