Qudus Wahab, a 6-foot-10 big man from
Daniel Mading, a 6-foot-10 Class of 2017 small forward originally from the Sudan who was raised in Australia, has committed to Texas Tech over Providence.
Mading, who now attends The Rock School in Gainesville, Fla., visited Providence Feb. 1-3 and Texas Tech Feb. 11-14.

A onetime ASU commit, Mading parted ways with the Sun Devils last June. At the time of his commitment, he was playing for legendary St. Anthony’s coach Bob Hurley, the father of Arizona State coach Bobby Hurley. Mading then left St. Anthony’s and resurfaced at The Rock School this season.
UNION, N.J. — Mamadou Doucoure plans to make an impact on the defensive end from the moment he steps on the Rutgers campus beginning in the 2018-19 season.
At 6-foot-9, the Mali native is a natural rebounder and shot-blocker who should help the Rutgers front line in the tough, physical Big Ten Conference.
But across the next year or so at Our Savior New American and with the PSA Cardinals AAU program, he wants to continue to develop his offensive game, which at the moment is still raw and developing.
“I’m trying to work on my foot speed up and down and my post moves,” Doucoure said after putting up 12 points, 17 rebounds and five blocks in a 52-45 loss to Rutgers target Paul Mulcahy and Gill St. Bernard’s on Saturday at the Metro Classic at Kean University.

UNION, N.J. — If Rutgers is going to continue its upward swing under new coach Steve Pikiell, it will need to recruit at a high level — both locally and nationally — to compete in the Big Ten.
On the local level, that means getting involved early and often for young stars like Paul Mulcahy, the 6-foot-5 Class of 2019 point guard out of Gill St. Bernard’s and the NJ Playaz AAU program.
Mulcahy holds offers from Rutgers, Virginia Tech, Boston College and SMU and recently attended the Nebraska-Rutgers game at the RAC.
“I like how Coach Pikiell’s on this rebuilding thing and how he’s real big on New Jersey basketball,” Mulcahy said Saturday after scoring 14 points in a 52-45 win over Our Savior New American in the Metro Classic at Kean University.
