2017 Power Forward Sandro Mamukelashvili Close to Cutting List

Sandro Mamukelashvili, a 6-foot-10, 220-pound power forward from Montverde (FL) Academy, plans to trim his list to six schools in the coming weeks.

Mamukelashvili is being recruited by Indiana, Louisville, Pittsburgh, Seton Hall, Vanderbilt, USC, Maryland, SMU, Villanova, Boston College, UConn, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Cal and Purdue.

“We are just deciding my final six,” he told ZAGSBLOG. “I’m planning my visits this month and next month.”

Over the weekend, Mamukelashvili and his Montverde teammate R.J. Barrett were named to the All-Star team at the Basketball Without Borders Global Camp in New Orleans. Barrett was named the event’s MVP.

As for what skillset he will bring to college, the native of Tbilisi, Georgia said: “I think I’ll bring a lot in college, like my passing abilities, pushing in transition, getting my teammates open and a winning attitude.”
