Miami announced the suspension of guard Ja’Quan Newton Wednesday evening per a school release.
University of Miami junior point guard Ja’Quan Newton has been suspended for three games for a violation of team rules.

Newton, a junior out of Philadelphia, Pa., is the team’s second-leading scorer by way of 15 points per game.
Miami (16-8, 6-6) will be left to face Georgia Tech, Clemson, and No. 14 Virginia without Newton.
