Trae Young Down to Three Schools, Announcing Decision on Thursday

Trae Young, the 6-foot-2 point guard from Norman North (OK) High School, named Oklahoma, Kansas and Oklahoma State as his final three according to USA Today. He is set to make his college decision on Thursday.

“I feel like these three schools are the best situations for me now that we’ve listed everything,” Young told USA Today.  “I feel good about these three.”

Young broke down all three schools for USA Today:

Oklahoma State: “Coach (Brad) Underwood really lets him play. They’re winning and they’re one of the best teams in the Big 12 this year. I really like them.”

Oklahoma: “[Coach Lon Kruger] said he’d turn over the keys to the program to me not when the season started but on June 1. I liked that.”

Kansas: “Well, for me, the whole Kansas staff is my favorite staff. Phog Allen is awesome! I’m not worried about competition, it’s just something I have to think about,”

Five-Star point guard Trevon Duval told ZAGSBLOG that he is no longer considering Kansas if Young commits to the Jayhawks.
