La Lumiere School (IN) small forward Brian Bowen took his final official visit this past weekend to Michigan State but says he still has no timetable on an announcement.
“I’m not sure when I want to announce yet,” Bowen said Wednesday.
The five-star recruit and No. 13 ranked player in ESPN’s class of 2017 was on campus when Michigan State beat rival Michigan, 70-62, on Sunday.
“They were saying that I would fit in great because of my versatility and the way that I could score the ball,” Bowen said. “I could come in there and play multiple positions similar to how they played Denzel Valentine and have a great team around me.”
Bowen, who was selected to both the McDonald’s All-American Game (March 29) and the Jordan Brand Classic (April 14), has now taken officials to all five schools on his list — Arizona, Creighton, Michigan State, N.C., and Texas. He broke down all five schools at the Hoophall Classic.
“Whenever I get that gut feeling on exactly where I want to go to school,” he said of a commitment timeline.
