Death, taxes, Luke Kennard playing out of his mind, and Grayson Allen being at the center of controversy–these are some of the few certainties in life.
Duke, in danger of falling to 3-5 in ACC play on Saturday at Wake Forest, ended the game on a 14-2 run–including the final nine points of the game–to secure a thrilling 85-83 victory.
Kennard dropped 30 of his game-high 34 points in the second half, making all five of his two-point attempts as well as all five of his three-point attempts in the latter frame. He hit the eventual game-winner with just under seven seconds remaining.

Allen finished with 19 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists, making 5-of-11 from behind the arc.
But of course, all that will be remembered regarding Duke’s embattled star from Saturday is his extracurricular activities.
Earlier in the game, Allen and Wake Forest’s Bryant Crawford received technicals as the result of a verbal altercation between the two.
Later, Allen and Crawford found themselves in close proximity of each other again.

In the ensuing moments, Wake Forest’s bench, namely Brandon Childress, took action. Childress was hit with a technical foul for the form tackle.
