Oregon’s Dillon Brooks Diagnosed With Sprained Foot, Out Indefinitely

By MIKE McCURRY

Compared to the devastating news that Creighton and Indiana received this week in regards to their star players, Oregon caught a break upon learning on Saturday that Dillon Brooks has been diagnosed with a sprained left foot.

While Maurice Watson Jr. and OG Anunoby are both out for the season due to knee injuries, Brooks’ condition is not nearly as dire—he is simply out indefinitely.

Oregon did not provide a timetable for Brooks’ return, however one beat writer projects the junior’s absence to be at least a few weeks.

Brooks, who leads the Ducks with 13.4 points per game, missed the first three contests this season following offseason surgery on that same left foot.

The best-case scenario for Oregon is that the 6-foot-7 forward will return within two weeks, just in time for a two-game stretch against Arizona (February 4) and UCLA (February 9).

Entering its game versus Stanford on Saturday, Oregon is the No. 11 team in the country at 17-2 overall and 6-0 in Pac-12 play.
