Mo Bamba, Quade Green, Nick Richards Among Recruits at Champions Classic

NEW YORK — Mohamed Bamba, Quade Green and Nick Richards are among the recruits expected here at Madison Square Garden for the Champions Classic Tuesday night.

No. 2 Kentucky faces No. 13 Michigan State in the first game, while No. 1 Duke gets No. 7 Kansas in the second.

The 7-foot Bamba and the 6-foot Green — teammates on the PSA Cardinals AAU team — remain uncommitted, while the 6-11 Richards out of The Patrick School (N.J.) committed to Kentucky last week.

Bamba is considering Kentucky, Duke, Texas and Harvard, among others, and is expected to sign in the spring.

Green will announce on Saturday with Syracuse the perceived favorite. He’s also considering Kentucky, Duke, Villanova and Temple.

Class of 2018 wing Louis King of Hudson Catholic and Sports U and 2019 stars Bryan Antoine and Scottie Lewis are also on hand. Kentucky coach John Calipari and assistant Tony Barbee saw them earlier this fall at the Ranney (N.J.) School and Duke and Kansas have also been in to see them.

Trey Patterson, a top player in the Class of 2021, is also on hand.

All are guests of Kentucky, sources said.
