Ira Lee, the 6-8, 210-pound power forward from Crossroads (CA) School, announced his commitment to Arizona on Thursday via Twitter.
Lee, who chose Arizona over California and Oregon, becomes the fourth commit in the Wildcat’s 2017 class, joining Deandre Ayton, Brandon Randolph, and Alex Barcello.
“They have a great atmosphere, great group of guys and a pretty good coaching staff,” Lee said.
Lee’s commitment gives Arizona the top recruiting class in 2017 according to 247Sports.
He recently announced his transfer to Crossroads School after spending last year at Prolific (CA) Prep. “Ira checks all the boxes you look for on and off the floor. People see that he’s explosive, hungry and intelligent on the floor,” said Prolific Prep coach, Billy McKnight. “What they don’t see is how he treats people off the floor and that he attacks his classes the same way he attacks the rim. His father Zeph Lee has done an incredible job of raising an exemplary son.”
