Braxton Beverly to Ohio State

By JACOB POLACHECK

Braxton Beverly, a 5-foot-11 point guard from Hargrave (VA) Military Academy, announced his decision to commit to Ohio State on Monday following an official visit to Columbus on Friday per Hargrave Hoops.

Beverly has not taken any other official visits and has none planned.  He joins 4-star recruit Kaleb Wesson as the second commit in the Buckeyes’ 2017 class.

“Coach Thad Matta and his staff did a tremendous job recruiting Braxton,” Hargrave coach A.W. Hamilton said. “He felt like it was a family atmosphere and fit perfectly in Coach Matta’s program.

“I feel like I can be successful in the offense because it is similar to what I have run here at Hargrave.” said Beverly. “I’m willing to go in and work hard and learn from coach [Thad Matta].”

Beverly is a former Miami (Ohio) Commit.
