Nate Pierre-Louis, the 6-foot-4, 187-pound point guard from Roselle (N.J.) Catholic and the Sports U AAU program, verbally committed to Temple during an official visit in Saturday.

He told SNY.tv he also considered Georgia Tech, Michigan and Vanderbilt.

“Nate can really do great things at the next level,” RC coach Dave Boff said. “He’s an extremely hard worker which you need to be in college to have success. He’s strong and skilled, he will be a great fit.”

Friday marks the first day this fall college coaches can go out and visit with prospects, and many of the biggest names in college basketball will be out on the recruiting trail.

At the same time, with college campuses now back in action, high school players will be taking official visits to college.

Here’s a rundown of some of the top storylines for the upcoming weekend. This list will be updated going forward.

**Kentucky coach John Calipari is expected to see Tampa (FL) Catholic small forward Kevin Knox on Friday  and Norman (OK) North point guard Trae Young on Saturday. Knox will also host Duke (Monday), North Carolina (Wednesday) and Florida State (Wednesday). Young also has a home visit with Kansas head man Bill Self on Friday, the same day coaches from Oklahoma and Oklahoma State will watch him.

**Kentucky assistant Tony Barbee and UConn assistant Glen Miller are expected to see 2017 Putnam (CT) Science Academy shooting guard Hamidou Diallo on Friday. UConn head man Kevin Ollie may also come for Diallo, who could opt to enter the 2017 NBA Draft but told me he wants to go the college route.
