Recruiting Roundup: Tremont Waters, Jose Alvarado, Isaiah Washington, Scottie Lewis & Bryan Antoine

BY ADAM ZAGORIA & CHIP MILLER

Tremont Waters, one of the top point guards in the Class of 2017, has set three official visits and has two more available.

“The dates we’re not going to announce right now for several reasons, but he is going to make official visits to Georgetown, Kansas and Indiana,” Ed Waters told Peegs.com.

“Those three are schools we are definitely going to be visiting then we have to figure out the last two based on the relationships.”

The 5-foot-11 Waters recently cut his list to UConn, Duke, Georgetown, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky and Yale.

After averaging 25 points per game last season at prep power South Kent (CT), Waters has transferred to Notre Dame-West Haven for his senior season.

JOSE ALVARADO VISITS GEORGIA TECH

Another Class of 2017 point guard, Jose Alvarado, took his first official visit to Georgia Tech over the weekend and enjoyed it.

“It was cool, I had a good time,” he told SNY.tv. “They have a great staff, they want to win with me as their point guard.”

Alvarado also plans to take an official visit to Rutgers following a recent unofficial there, but has no other dates planned at the moment.

“I don’t know as of right now,” he said.

ISAIAH WASHINGTON VISITS SETON HALL, TEARS IT UP AT ELITE 24

After getting a late invite to the Under Armour Elite 24 Game, St. Raymond’s point guard Isaiah Washington put on a show, going for 36 points in the game on Saturday night in Brooklyn.

Washington says Seton Hall, Minnesota, Texas A&M and New Mexico are working the hardest but he is open to new schools.

He visited Seton Hall last week before the Elite 24 Game.

“They really want me, they’re going to put the ball in my hands and they want me to help them win a national championship,” he said.

“They play my style of game, a lot of pick-and-rolls, that’s what I like to do.”
