Jose Alvarado Visits Rutgers, Georgia Tech Up Next

Jose Alvarado‘s recruitment is beginning to get interesting.

The 6-foot Class of 2017 point guard from New York powerhouse Christ the King visited Rutgers unofficially on Saturday and will take his first official visit to Georgia Tech Aug. 19-21.

“[Rutgers] was good,” he said by phone. “They made me feel comfortable and it was a great staff and stuff.”

Rutgers coach Steve PIkiell and his staff are targeting Alvarado as their point guard of the future to go along with 2017 commitment Geo Baker.

“Out of everything that was going on, they made me feel like I was the only one they really want,” he said of Rutgers.

Next up is Georgia Tech for his official. The Yellow Jackets previously landed New York point guards Kenny Anderson and Stephon Marbury.

“I’m going on my first offiical visit to Georgia Tech on the 19th to the 21st,” he said. “I just want to see how it is. They’re recruiting me really hard so I want to see.”

Alvarado has no other visits planned and no plans to cut his list at the moment.
