CARTERSVILLE, Ga.– After tweaking his leg in Philly last weekend, Naz Reid expects to return this week for Sports U 16s.
“It’s getting better,” the 6-foot-9 Class of 2018 forward from Roselle (N.J.) Catholic said at the UAA Finals, where he sat out a game on Thursday morning. “I’m expecting to play in our next game today, or on Friday. It’s feeling better, but we will see. One moment it feels good, the next it’s a bit sore. I’m going to do some stretching today and see how it goes, if it doesn’t hurt, I’ll be good to go.”
Playing alongside Louis King, Jahvon Quinerly, Luther Muhammad and Atiba Taylor, Reid says the main goal is coming home with another Under Armour title.
“It would mean a lot to win this,” Reid said. “Back-to -back years on the Under Armour circuit winning titles, we want to do it again, and we’ve got it started, so we want to win it all.”
The “Fab Five” from Sports U holds collective offers from Seton Hall, Rutgers and UConn.
Ranked No. 4 in the class of 2018 by ESPN, the 6-foot-9 Reid currently holds offers from UConn, Georgetown, Iowa, Kansas, LSU, Louisville, Maryland, NC State, Oklahoma, Rutgers, Seton Hall, St. John’s, Virginia, Villanova, Wichita State and Syracuse.
