Providence sophomore forward Ben Bentil announced on Instagram Sunday that he will remain in the NBA Draft and forego his final two years of eligibilty at Providence.
Bentil, who measured 6-foot-8 1/4 at the NBA Draft Combine, is projected as the No. 45 pick by Draft Express.com. Kris Dunn, Bentil’s Providence teammate, is projected as a top-five selection.
After workouts last week with the Clippers and Lakers, Bentil will work for Indiana on Monday and Orlando later this week.
Bentil said at the Combine that he would love a guarantee that someone will take him in the first round.
“A spot in the first round, knowing that I’m definitely going in the first round,” Bentil said. “It only takes one team to like you so that’s what I’m trying to do.”
The leading scorer in the Big East last season, Bentil averaged 21.1 points and 7.7 rebounds.
