Quade Green picked up an offer from Duke on Tuesday during his unofficial visit to campus.
“Duke is a school Quade has always talked about getting an offer from and now it has come true,” Neumann-Goretti coach Carl Arrigale told SNY.tv. “It’s a true mark of how well he continues to play and get better this summer. I am happy for him. His success is well deserved. He works extremely hard.”
Green is now the third Class of 2017 player from the PSA Cardinals with a Duke offer, following 7-footer Mohamed Bamba of the Westtown (Pa.) School, and 6-9 forward Deng Gak of Blair (N.J.) Academy.
“The offer from Duke is another example of how well Quade has presented himself on and off the court,” PSA Cardinals director Terrance “Munch” Williams told SNY.tv. “It is clear that he is one of the top two point guards in the country.”

The 6-foot point guard from Neumann-Goretti High School and the PSA Cardinals on Thursday made the first cut for the USA Basketball U18 team.
He is tentatively planning to visit Kentucky (June 29-30).
Green told reporters in Colorado that he spoke to Kentucky coach John Calipari on Tuesday.
“They make pros, of course,” Green told Roberts of UK’s program. “And they have good student-athletes. When they leave for the NBA, they come back and get their degree. They get the best out of you there.”
Kentucky has offered 2017 point guards Trae Young and Tremont Waters.
Next month Green will lead the PSA Cardinals (14-2) into the Nike Peach Jam.
“He’s great,” Bamba told Ben Roberts of the Herald-Leader of Green. “He’s so smooth and poised. You don’t see that at this age. Part of me being out here is observing, and I think he’s really making a name for himself.
“To play with a good point guard, it takes your game to a whole new level.”
Green already holds offers from numerous high-major programs, including Syracuse, Miami, Xavier and Temple, while Duke recently had two assistants at Neumann-Goretti.
Williams, the PSA Cardinals director, previously told SNY.tv that Green will not cut his list before August.
“Hopefully, I commit in September,” Green said recently. “That’s when I want to.”
