As the son of former UCLA guard Charles O’Bannon and nephew to the 1995 first round NBA pick Ed O’Bannon, the five-star shooting guard comes from great basketball lineage, inherited talent that he’s putting to good use on the Nike EYBL Summer circuit.
At the end of the 16-game regular season, O’Bannon is in the EYBL Top 10 in scoring at 20.1 points to go with 4.9 rebounds and 1.1 steals per game. His Las Vegas Prospects (NV) ended the regular EYBL season at 7-9, just missing one of the 20 automatic bids to Nike’s Peach Jam scheduled for July 6-10 in North Augusta, S.C.
As far as a timeline for a decision, O’Bannon recently told 247Sports he had “no clue” on a potential date. The current 247Sports CrystalBall has Texas as the current leader with 78 percent of the vote.
