With the NBA Draft now less than a week away, the Philadelphia 76ers met face-to-face with projected No. 1 pick Ben Simmons ahead of Game 6 of the NBA Finals in Cleveland, according to ESPN’s Marc Stein.
The Sixers, sources say, had all of their key people in Cleveland on Thursday to have dinner with Simmons and agent Rich Paul before Game 6.

Simmons, a 6-foot-10 forward who averaged 19.2 points and 11.8 rebounds at LSU last season, is expected to be the top pick in the draft by the Sixers, according to several mock drafts.
“He would very much like to be selected No. 1,” Sixers GM Bryan Colangelo previously said of Simmons. “We heard the same thing from (Duke forward) Brandon (Ingram) today.”
Ingram worked out Monday for the Sixers.
Colangelo said the 76ers have not yet scheduled a workout despite contacting Rich Paul, Simmons’ agent.
“It has nothing to do with us, and nothing to do with Philadelphia,” Colangelo said. “Everybody goes about it a little differently. Sometimes players decide to workout, sometimes they decide not to workout.”
Simmons is an avid fan of the Lakers, who pick No. 2 in the Draft.
