Former UNLV Commit Justin Jackson Visits Maryland, UConn

Former UNLV pledge Justin Jackson is visiting UConn this weekend following a recent visit to Maryland, a source confirmed to SNY.tv.

Jackson’s visit to UConn was first reported by Jon Rothstein of CBSSports.com.

A four-star Canadian small forward, the 6-foot-8 Jackson committed to UNLV in September 2014, but opened up his recruitment after the recent coaching change at UNLV.

On April 30, Jackson visited Maryland, Under Armour’s flagship school, and is now at UConn, which recently parted ways with Class of 2017 7-footer Zach Brown.

Jackson is the No. 6 small forward in the class of 2016 and the No. 40 recruit in the class, according to the 247Sports Composite.

“He can play the 1 through 4, he’s so versatile, that’s one of the strengths to his game,” Findlay coach Andy Johnson said when Jackson first committed to UNLV.
